Accra, Ghana — Ghanaian live music group Nkyinkyim Band has announced the fifth edition of its annual flagship event, Nkyinkyim X’Perience, scheduled for Friday, November 20, 2026, at The Underbridge Annex, East Legon, Accra.
Marking five years of the event, Nkyinkyim X’Perience V will celebrate the journey under the theme “5 Years of Music, Culture & Community,” reflecting the three pillars that have shaped the X’Perience since its inception.
What began as an intimate live music gathering has steadily evolved into a platform bringing together music lovers, artistes and creatives through live performance, Ghanaian music, storytelling and cultural expression.
Over the years, Nkyinkyim X’Perience has featured Nkyinkyim Band’s original music alongside Highlife, Hiplife and other contemporary Ghanaian sounds, with collaborations and guest appearances from a growing list of artistes.
Previous editions have featured performers including Bessa Simons, Samuel Owusu, Naa Agyemang, Ayisi, Kwame Brenya and Lucky Mensah, among others.
The event reached another milestone in 2025 with its fourth edition at the National Theatre in Accra, following an earlier X’Perience outing in Kumasi that year. The fifth edition now moves to The Underbridge Annex as the band marks half a decade of building the event and the community around it.
“Five years of X’Perience is really a celebration of the people who have been part of this journey with us. From the audiences who keep showing up to the artistes, partners and everyone who has contributed along the way, the community has become an important part of what X’Perience represents,” said Johnson, Band Leader of Nkyinkyim Band.
The 2026 edition is expected to continue the event’s emphasis on live performance while celebrating Ghana’s musical heritage and the evolving sounds of a new generation.
Beyond the performances, the fifth anniversary will also provide an opportunity for Nkyinkyim Band and its audience to look back at the memories, collaborations and growth that have defined the event over the past five years.
