Nkyinkyim Band – The Rhythm of Ghana
Born from the twists and turns of life’s journey, Nkyinkyim Band is a six-member, five-piece live band that embodies the energy, diversity, and soul of Ghanaian music. Inspired by the Nkyinkyim Adinkra symbol, which signifies dynamism and versatility, the band fuses Highlife, Afrobeat, Hiplife, Reggae, Funk, and Palmwine music into a refreshing, contemporary sound.
Following in the footsteps of legendary African bands like Osibisa, African Brothers International Band, and others, Nkyinkyim Band has been shaping its own legacy since 2014. They have graced some of Ghana’s biggest stages and represented the nation at the 2022 FIFA World Cup’s D’reesha Festival in Qatar. With two studio albums—Where We Dey? (2022) and Ofie Kwanso (2024)—their music tells authentic African stories that resonate globally.
They have collaborated with some of Ghana’s biggest artists, including Stonebwoy, Sarkodie, Gyedu-Blay Ambolley, Nana Acheampong, K.K. Kabobo, Ben Brako, Adane Best, Kwabena Kwabena, Samini, Fameye, Keche, Mr. Drew, Kofi Nti, Afriyie Wutah, Krymi, and Article Wan.
From headlining their own Nkyinkyim X’Perience Concert to making special appearances at major events like the 2025 Heritage Caravan Tour, Nkyinkyim Band continues to redefine live music in Ghana. Their electrifying performances have earned them spots on GTV, Citi TV, TV3, UTV, and other top media platforms.
Beyond the stage, they are passionate about giving back—whether through charitable projects or hosting NYU Accra students for immersive music workshops.
