Accra, Ghana – One of Ghana’s finest bands, Nkyinkyim Band have finally released their much anticipated debut album, “WHERE WE DEY?”. The release of this album comes on the back of several months of rehearsal, compositions, recording, mixing and mastering of very classic tunes that seeks to soothe and serenade music patrons in Ghana and across the globe.
Music lovers are going to be in a very elated mood with the release of this album, given the level of creative prowess and virtuoso exhibited by this group of highly talented and versatile musicians. Songs on the 10-track album cut across various genres and tackle various situations regarding love, life and finding one’s purpose, thereby making it appealing to a wide range of music audiences.
Speaking to nkyinkyim.com , one leading member of the band, Albert Owusu Brown reiterated the fact that, the band was highly focused on rebranding the outlook on band music in Ghana. They intend to write and perform more of their own music in addition to renditions of songs from other artistes.
The “Where We Dey” album generally throws the spotlight on Love, life, and the quest of finding one’s true purpose. It features music greats like Fameye, Blaqad, Kojo Nda (veteran highlife musician) and Kwame Brenya. The group is also hosting an album release concert Saturday night to celebrate this memorable feat. The event takes place at Veggies and Grills in Ashongman, Accra.
